Women’s fiction

Three friends from a small Ohio town, growing up between the 1950s and the 1970s, and learning to be true to themselves.

Welcome to Glacier Valley

Three girls. One small town. A lifetime of stories.

Women’s fiction set in the historical time period after WWII. Annie, Irene and Natalie were born in 1948 in the small town of Glacier Valley, Ohio, where the great glacier once left behind rich farmland, boulders, caves, lakes and forests. Their stories move through the 1950s to the early 1970s as they navigate the adult world of college, careers, family, and love.

The Nancy Sisters

Remember the last day of school before summer vacation? Sitting at your desk watching the clock tick, tick, tick, and finally the bell rings, the teacher wishes you a wonderful summer, and you are out of there… freedom… three whole months of fun.

When rain ruins the girls’ plans for a trip to Boulder Lake, they read one of Natalie’s mother’s books: The Mystery at Lilac Inn, a Nancy Drew mystery. A girl detective? They think that is the coolest thing they have ever heard of. So they form a club, The Nancy Sisters, and set out to spend the summer solving the mysteries of Glacier Valley.

The novella introduces the town, its people and the girls’ families, and it sets the stage for all three novels.

Read it as it unfolds: new scenes on Instagram every weekday, starting in January 2027.

Now I’m sharing the stories of Glacier Valley and the three girls who grew up there. I’m so glad you’re here.
